Medeama expects a tough test against Yanga – Evans Adotey

Medeama SC head coach, Evans Adotey, says his side expects a tricky duel from Young Africans on Friday evening.

The Ghanaian champions host the Tanzanian giants at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their third Group D game of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League.

Adotey highlighted his expectations of the crucial encounte, while keeping his cards private.

“It’s the responsibility of every coach to get a tip of any opposition. In games of this nature, you need to know the strengths and weaknesses of every opponent.

“My mission is to win, so it’s important to research and find an antidote to every situation,” Adotey said at the pre-match press conference.

“I am not here to tell the media the plans I have. I said earlier that it’s going to be a tricky duel, but all I want to see is to see Medeama bag the three points.”

Medeama will place themselves in a favourable position to qualify should they clinch victory. The Mauve and Yellow are third in group D with three points, same as CR Belouizdad while Al Ahly lead with four points.

Yanga are bottom of the group with just a point.
