Asante Kotoko recorded a narrow victory over Real Tamale United at the Baba Yara Stadium on Christmas eve.
The match-week 16 encounter ended in a 1-0 to return the Reds to winning ways after drawing goalless against Great Olympics a week ago.
Steven Dese Mukwala bagged the winner in the second half after a foul on Baba Yahaya in the RTU 18-yard area.
After a torrid first half, Kotoko improved their game and mounted series of attacking moves to break the deadlock.
It finally arrived in the 80th minute as Mukwala stepped forward to bag the only goal of the clash. His sixth goal in this season’s league.
The Porcupines then held on to win the match.
