Asante Kotoko’s third straight defeat is worrying for us – David Ocloo

Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo has lamented on the worries of the technical team from their game against Samartex on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors were defeated 1-0 in match-week ten of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, courtesy a well-delivered free kick from Emmanuel Keyekeh.

Kotoko failed to level after conceding in the 30th minute of the game and Ocloo highlighted the negatives in his side’s play.

This is the third consecutive defeat for the Reds who now lie 16th in the league standings.

“Samartex were more determined in the first half and they won. We got ourselves back in the game but we were not potent upfront,” Ocloo said in the post-match interview.

“We are worried as a technical team especially with our lack of aggression and potency upfront.

“There’s a lot to be worked on and we will keep working to improve.”

So five games without a win, three straight defeats, and in the relegation spots.

Next for Kotoko is Medeama at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
