Nsoatreman FC coach, Maxwell Konadu has outlined the club’s primary goal for the season, emphasizing their determination to retain their place in the top tier of Ghanaian football for the following season.
The transformation of Nsoatreman from potential relegation candidates to top-four contenders in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League (GPL) has been nothing short of impressive.
The Amanaso boys’ remarkable start to the season has caught the attention of football enthusiasts.
Their defining moment came on match-day 8 with a notable victory over Kotoko, solidifying their reputation as a team with serious aspirations. As the season progresses, observers are left pondering the reasons behind Nsoatreman’s remarkable turnaround.
Coach Konadu delves into the intricacies of their success, stating, “It’s all about hard work.”
“The principles are, we play simple football. We play quick progressive football, we make sure we attack our opponent at their weakest areas. That is all.”
“When we find out our opponents’ weakness, that is where we build our strength. So that you can make good of those areas and see what happens,” the experienced trainer disclosed during an interview with 3Sports.
The collective performance of the team has exceeded expectations, propelling them into the top 3 of the league.
Despite receiving much credit for their outstanding results, Konadu maintains a composed demeanour and underlines that their immediate goal is survival.
“We need to just survive in the league. The club owner told us for the first season we need to survive, and that is what we are trying to do.
“From next season, targets will be set, and we will see how we can achieve them.”
With a more challenging set of fixtures on the horizon, the outcomes will serve as a litmus test for Nsoatreman’s aspirations to establish themselves as a fixture in Ghana’s top-flight football, building upon the positive momentum they have gained.
