Ghanaian winger Prince Ampem notched his debut goal for new club Eyüpspor Kulübü, propelling them to a resounding 3-0 victory over Bodrumspor in the 2023/24 Turkish TFF First League on Saturday.
This win not only consolidated Eyüpspor’s position at the top of the league standings but also rekindled their momentum after a previous defeat.
Ampem, the 25-year-old former WAFA SC standout, made his mark by breaking the deadlock with a brilliant strike in the 20th minute, ending an eight-game goal drought in the league since his summer arrival.
Ahmed Kutucu added to the tally, doubling Eyüpspor’s advantage in the 38th minute.
The icing on the cake came from Gianni Bruno, who calmly converted a penalty just four minutes from the final whistle to seal the impressive 3-0 victory.
With this emphatic victory, Eyüpspor has surged to 21 points, establishing a six-point lead over Bandirmaspor and Kocaelispor, both of whom settled for draws in their weekend matchups.
Eyüpspor will set their sights on the upcoming fixture against Çorum FK after the international break, looking to maintain their winning momentum.
