Emerging talent, Ernest Nuamah Appiah has expressed his elation at notching goals in consecutive matches for the Black Stars.
The teenage sensation scored his debut goal for the Ghana senior national team during their come-from-behind victory over Central African Republic last Thursday. This strike played a decisive role in sealing Ghana’s place in the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
Nuamah continued to sparkle on the field, finding the back of the net once again in Ghana’s 3-1 victory over Liberia during an international friendly between the two West African nations in Accra on Tuesday.
In the wake of this remarkable achievement, the Olympique Lyon winger shared his joy about his contributions in both games, stating: “Having my first debut and goal for the senior national team and also playing in the community where I grew up was a big motivation for me.”
He further acknowledged the profound impact of playing alongside senior players he once idolized.
“Also, playing on the same field with the senior players we looked up to is a very big motivation because first watching them on television and now being on the same pitch doing big things is a dream come true for me,” Nuamah stated during an interaction with the press.
Nuamah Appiah’s emergence as a goal-scoring sensation has ignited optimism among Ghanaian football enthusiasts, as they anticipate his continued growth and contribution to the Black Stars’ success on the international stage.
