2024 Women’s AfconQ: Nora Häuptle declares all Queens fit for Rwanda second leg

Black Queens coach, Nora Häuptle has affirmed that all players at her disposal are in prime physical condition and fully prepared to face Rwanda on Tuesday.

The Ghana senior women’s national team is gearing up to host their East African counterparts in the second leg of their 2024 Africa Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) first-round qualifying tie.

“We have a well-thought-out plan that we can adjust as needed, and we focus on positioning our players effectively for our games,” Nora said.

She also revealed, “All 23 players are in good shape and ready to deliver tomorrow. The starting lineup for the match will be revealed during our pre-match meeting, and we’ll consider their performance in the last training session.”

The showdown is set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium with kickoff at 16:00 GMT.

In the first leg of this tie, the Black Queens displayed their dominance by securing a resounding 7-0 victory over their Rwandan counterparts in Kigali last Thursday.

Ghana looks all set to advance to the second round where they will slug out with the winner of the Gambia-Namibia tie for a chance to secure a spot in the 15th edition of the Women’s Afcon.

The second-round qualifiers will be cleared on dates between November 27 and December 5, 2023.
