2023/24 Caf CC: Dreams FC claim slim 2-1 lead over FC Kallon

Dreams FC secured a 2-1 victory against FC Kallon in the first leg of their 2023/24 Caf Confederation Cup Cup second preliminary round clash on Friday.

The Ghana FA Cup champions now hold a slender advantage as they head to Sierra Leone for the crucial second leg, scheduled for one week from now.

The ‘Still Believe’ side took an early lead at the Accra Sports Stadium when Godfred Attuahene found the net in the 11th minute.

However, FC Kallon responded with a crucial away goal, equalizing just before halftime through Daniel Karim.

From the start of the second half, Dreams FC launched numerous attacks in their quest to regain the lead. Their persistence paid off when John Antwi calmly converted a penalty in the 55th minute, propelling them to a 2-1 lead.

Those three goals marked the entirety of the scoring in the match, leaving Dreams FC with a slim first-leg advantage.

Kallon FC is set to host the return leg at the Southern Arena Stadium in Freetown on Friday, September 29.
