Kotoko add midfield depth with free agent capture Andrews Ntim Manu

Asante Kotoko have successfully finalized the signing of Andrews Ntim Manu, securing his commitment for a three-year contract.

The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has embraced a new chapter, joining the ranks of the Porcupine Warriors on a notable free transfer. His switch comes on the heels of the conclusion of his contract with fellow Ghana Premier League (GPL) contenders, Legon Cities.

The formalization of his acquisition was ratified following a thorough mandatory medical evaluation, validating his readiness for the forthcoming challenges.

Known for his amalgamation of energy, tenacity, and situational awareness, Manu brings a unique dimension to the squad that has lost its recent captain Richard Boadu to Libyan club Al Ahly Bengharzi.

Manu steps into the limelight as the third signing of Prosper Narteh Ogum’s second tenure as the head coach of Kotoko. It’s worth noting that he has previously worked under coach Ogum’s guidance during their shared time at WAFA SC.

In a dialogue with the club’s official website, the midfield powerhouse conveyed his elation, stating: “I am thrilled to be joining a club with such rich history.

“I know this means a lot for my family and myself to be representing the greatest club in Ghana and one of the best in Africa.”

He further added, “I am confident about achieving my dreams, and I know I can learn a lot from my teammates and the top coaches here. I simply can’t wait to put on the shirt and start playing.”

Andrews Ntim Manu boasts an impressive tally of 63 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, stats that trace back to his debut in 2019 while he was with WAFA SC. This rich experience forms the foundation upon which he embarks on this new endeavor with Asante Kotoko.
