I want to play more this season for Asante Kotoko – Ibrahim Danlad

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has vowed to help the club record success in the 2023/24 Ghana football season.

The shotstopper was involved in only ten games in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League due to national assignments.

Danlad played for the Black Galaxies at the 2023 CHAN and in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations with the Black Meteors, thereby making him unavailable for most parts of the local season.

Speaking in an interview with Kessben FM, the goalkeeper made known his hopes to play more this season for the Reds.

“Last season, I didn’t play enough matches for Kotoko because of my involvement in the national teams.

“I represented the Black Stars, Black Galaxies and Black Meteors at the various tournaments in the course of the season.

“National team duties limited me to fewer number of games last-term. I made only 10 appearances in the league.”

Danlad continued by stressing on the new season and his targets for the team as well.

“Going into the new season, I think I can concentrate a lot at club level because there wouldn’t be many national assignments.

“I will try my possible best to work hard as previously in order to help the club achieve good things in the upcoming season”

Asante Kotoko will begin their 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home game against returnees, Heart of Lions.
