The Riyadh-based giants are trusting the Black Queens shot-stopper’s prowess in guarding their net for the upcoming campaign.

Saudi Arabian powerhouse Al Hilal has made a significant move in bolstering their squad by signing Cynthia Konlan, a goalkeeper of Ghana’s senior women’s national team.

The 20-year-old is set to embark on an exciting new journey, having completed a season-long loan move from Maltese club Swieqi United FC.

“An Exciting Journey Ahead! Senior Women’s goalkeeper, Konlan Cynthia, is embarking on a new adventure for Season 23/24 moving on Loan to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia!,” the Owls announced via their Facebook page on Thursday.

Konlan has already proven herself as a crucial asset during her time with Swieqi United FC. Her exceptional performances contributed significantly to the club’s triumph in the Assikura Women’s Knockout, a major milestone in the team’s history. Furthermore, Konlan’s talents were acknowledged with the prestigious distinction of being named the best goalkeeper in the MFPA Best XI—an individual accolade that underscores her skill and dedication.

This transfer marks a notable addition to Al Hilal’s roster, strengthening their ambitions for the upcoming 2023/24 Saudi Women’s Premier League season.

With her track record of excellence and impressive achievements, Konlan’s presence is expected to have a significant impact on Hilal who succumbed narrowly missed out on last season’s championship to Al-Nassr.
