Adom Frimpong joins Ethiopian champions St. George

Ethiopian champions St. George have announced the addition of free-agent Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Adom Frimpong to their roster.

The Horsemen have secured a two-year contract with the dynamic 26-year-old central midfielder. The official unveiling took place on Friday in the vibrant city of Addis Ababa.

Adom Frimpong is making a bold switch to Ethiopia, transferring freely from Aduana FC with whom his contract ran out post the 2022/23 season.

Having previously showcased his skills at Dalkurd in Sweden, Adom Frimpong is anticipated to bring a wealth of experience to the Ethiopian giants, bolstering their chances of vying for titles in the forthcoming season.

Adom Frimpong made his mark in the Ghana Premier League last term, playing 30 matches and scoring three goals for Aduana.

As the new season approaches, St. George aims to defend their Ethiopian Premier League title and secure a spot in the 2023/24 Caf Champions League group stages.

Kwame Adom Frimpong will now share the field with former Kotoko and Liberty Professionals player, Edwin Frimpong Manso, who currently leads St. George as captain.
