Following the prescribed timeline, Ghana’s contenders for the 2023/24 Caf Interclub competitions, Medeama SC and Dreams FC, have duly presented their chosen venues and match timings for the preliminary round of games.
This was a task that needed to be completed by Monday, July 31, for their respective opening matches in the Champions League and Confederation Cup.
Medeama SC, the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Champions, have opted for the Cape Coast Stadium as their venue for the 2023/24 Caf Champions League.
On the other hand, FA Cup winners Dreams FC have chosen the Accra Sports Stadium for their 2023/24 Caf Confederation Cup prelims.
The clubs have expressed their satisfaction with the venues chosen, believing they provide an advantage both in terms of atmosphere and home support. Both clubs have urged their fans to turn out in numbers and rally behind them as they aim to make a mark in the Interclub competitions.
Match Schedule
Medeama SC is set to host Remo Stars, a team from Nigeria, in the Champions League. The match is scheduled for Sunday, August 20, 2023.
In contrast, Dreams FC is set to host Guinean club Milo FC De Kankan in the Confederation Cup. This match is slated for Sunday, August 27, in Accra.
Both games have a 15:00 GMT kickoff on their respective dates.
