Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin takes up Legon Cities job

Ghana Premier League (GPL) side Legon Cities have announced the appointment of Samuel Paa Kwasi Fabin as their new head coach.

The 64-year-old is taking over from Maxwell Konadu who has moved to Nsoatreman FC.

“Legon Cities FC is pleased to announce Paa Kwasi Fabin will become head coach of the team from the beginning of the 2023/24 season.

“Coach Fabin will begin his new role on 1 August with details on his contract to be revealed soon,” a statement via the club’s socials on Monday read.

Fabin brings with him a wealth of experience. He just guided Aduana FC to a second-place finish in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League. He has also coached some of the biggest clubs in Ghana, including Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

During his tenure at Hearts of Oak, Fabin led the team to victory in the MTN Top 4 tournament in 2010 before leaving by mutual agreement in January 2011.

Additionally, he had the privilege of coaching the Ghana U-17 national team, leading them to the Fifa World Cup held in India in 2017.

Furthermore, Fabin served a double role as the head coach for Uganda’s U-17 and U-20 national teams from April 2019 to December 2019.
