Ransford-Yeboah replaces injured Iñaki for first call-up since World Cup snub

Hamburg SV striker Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer has been called up to the Black Stars team to fill in for the injured Iñaki Williams, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced on Monday.

Iñaki completed the game as Athletic Bilbao finished the 2022/23 LaLiga campaign with a 1–1 draw against Real Madrid on Sunday night.

But he announced publicly less than 24 hours later that he would be unable to serve with the national team in the June international break owing to a bothersome knee condition that required quick attention.

The 28-year-old is anticipated to stay in Spain during the off-season for therapy.

It is the 21-year-old’s first call-up to the international squad after being passed over for the Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup.
