Dreams FC retain GPL status with 2-1 win over Olympics
The 'Still Believe' side returned to the topflight in August 2017 and have now survived another campaign.

Dreams FC achieved a late win over Great Olympics in the betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) Saturday afternoon, securing their status for yet another season.
The first half of the match-day 33 fixture at Dawu Park saw no goals with the hosts having slightly more chances.
Sylvester Simba was unlucky not to put his team ahead as Olympics goalkeeper Benjamin Asare pulled two superb saves.
However, seven minutes into the second half Dreams opened scoring with substitute Godfred Atuahene’s solo effort not long after coming on.
Olympics had opportunities to draw level, which they accomplished through Solomon Adomako’s header off Christopher Nettey’s cross in the 75th minute.
But just eight minutes later, striker Huzaif Ali headed in a corner-kick to give Dreams FC a 2-1 lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
Despite pushing hard for the equalizing goal, Great Olympics’ efforts came up short; Dreams FC secured their status in the betPawa Premier League for another season with a hard-fought victory.
Now on 47 points and with a trip to Asante Kotoko on the final day, Dreams FC are assured survival in the 2022/23 GPL. The defeat means Great Olympics (42) risk dropping into the relegation zone – it will be manifested by a win for Karela United (41) home win against Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday.
