betPawaGPL: Aduana extend league lead with triumph over Great Olympics

Aduana overcame Great Olympics on match-week 26 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League with a 1-0 victory to extend their lead ahead of the Sunday games.

Frank Owusu scored in the 54th minute for the Fire Boys against the struggling Olympics who hardly posed any threat in the clash.

Aduana, playing at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Stadium at Abrankese due to ban on the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, showed solidity in grabbing the much-needed win.

The Ogya lads created decent chances in the game for the first half but failed to open the scoring.

For their guests, the game plan in the second half was to pick a point but Owusu’s goal meant they had to attack on all angles.

That was where Aduana showed their mettle as the team with the less goals conceeded – 16 in the 2022/23 league season.

The Fire Boys are now six points ahead of second placed Bechem United and Medeama in third.

Bechem lost 3-2 to Tamale City on Saturday but maintain their second spot while Medeama gets to action at home against Karela United.
