‘Kudus is a machine’ – Iñaki Williams tips Ghana mate for big club move

Athletic Bilbao forward Iñaki Williams believes Ghana teammate Mohammed Kudus will move to a “big club” soon as he is overgrowing Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam.

This comes at a time when a number of Europe’s elite clubs including Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund have been credited with an interest in the young playmaker

Kudus, 22, impressed at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where he scored two goals before the Black Stars exited the Mundial at the group stages on Friday.

Speaking to Radio Marca prior to the Black Stars’ final game in Group H against Uruguay, Iñaki suggested Kudus – who failed in forcing a move to Everton last summer – will move clubs soon because Ajax has become “too small” for the playmaker.

“When I played with him during the last international period before the World Cup, Kudus surprised me a lot.

“My teammates at Athletic Bilbao often ask me who impresses me in the national team. I always mention his name,” he stated.

Williams added: “Ajax is becoming too small (for him). Hopefully, he will soon make the step up to a big club.

“I would have liked him to have a Basque relative who could take him to Bilbao!

“He is a bomb. A machine. He is already very complete, although there is still room for development due to his age.

“Yes (he can play for Barcelona or Real Madrid). I see him playing in a great club. He has plenty of potential and a great margin for improvement. I think he may be a revelation.”
