2022/23 MTN FA Cup gets underway November 1 [+Full Calendar]

The 2022/23 MTN FA Cup competition is set to kick off on Tuesday, November 1.

In all, a total of 111 clubs have subscribed to participate in this edition – with 45 drawn from playoffs held in 10 regions, 48 clubs in Division One (DOL) and 18 Premier League clubs.

The competition gets underway with the preliminary round involving the qualified teams from the various regions and the DOL sides

A live draw for the prelims has been scheduled for the Conference room of the GFA Secretariat in Accra on Tuesday, October 18.

This round will be played over a 10-day period – November 1-10 – with winners from the one-off encounters advancing to the Round of 64 in December which will see the Premier clubs joining the fray.

The FA Cup competition will then continue with the Round of 32 and 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and the grand finale on June 17, 2023.

Below is the calendar for the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup match days:

• Preliminary Round – November 1-10, 2022

Round of 64 – December 20-29, 2022

Round of 32 – January 20-23, 2023

Round of 16 – February 24-27, 2023

Quarterfinals – April 7-10, 2023

Semifinals – May 13-14, 2023
