The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Morocco as hosts of the 2022 Women’s Champions League.
CAF says it opened the bidding process for the tournament twice but the North African country was the only candidate.
CAF said in a statement: “The Executive Committee, therefore, resolved to award the competition to Morocco as the only bidder.”
Bono side, Ampem Darkoa Ladies will represent Ghana in this year’s competition after beating Hasaacas Ladies to the Ghana Women’s Premier League title last June.
Hasaacas finished runner-up in the maiden edition but lost to South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Furthermore, the Sekondi-outfit have earned nominations in the 2022 CAF Awards.
