AshantiGold midfielder Eric Esso will not hesitate to move to Ukraine or Iraq if the financial obligations favour his football career.
The 28-year-old, speaking earlier on Angel TV, revealed his desire to follow in the footsteps of his younger brother, Joseph Esso, by playing outside Ghana.
Joseph is plying his trade in the Algerian league with MC Algiers.
Eric says he will not be bothered by the quality of the league or the environment.
“At the moment, even if it’s Ukraine or Iraq, I will gladly play there. It’s every player’s dream to play abroad to better their lives.
“And I have that in mind now. That is my ambition.”
And Esso has reiterated the statement to close football friends and family.
His desire to leave Ghana will have to wait due to the 24-month ban for the match-fixing practice by his AshantiGold and Inter Allies in the 2020/21 league season.
Eric is still working to have the ban overturned by the GFA.
