Asante Kotoko top striker Franck Thierry Etouga Mbella has been presented an opportunity to join Italian side Udinese Calcio.
Earlier in June, the 20-year-old’s agent Amadou Fontem Tigana hinted that the Serie A club’s sporting director was set to watch the player during Kotoko’s final game of the 2021/22 season against Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
And now, Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM has reported that the league champions have an agreement with Udinese over Mbella.
The player – who is currently on holidays in his homeland Cameroon – is expected to travel to Italy in the coming days for a brief observation before paperwork for the transfer is sealed.
Mbella is reported to have received several offers following an outstanding debut season with Asante Kotoko.
He scored 21 goals in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
