Crystal Palace trigger contract extension option for Jordan Ayew

Crystal Palace have reportedly taken up the option to extend the contract of Ghana international Jordan Ayew.

The forward, 30, joined the Eagles for £2.5 million from Swansea City on an initial loan before making his stay permanent by signing a three-year contract prior to the start of the 2019/20 season.

But the deal – which expires this summer – included an option for a further 12 months.

Manager Patrick Vieira is said to be a big fan of Ayew for his industry.

The Frenchman selected Ayew in 23 starting line-ups over the course of 21/22 and brought him on from the bench a further eight times.

Now heading into his 5th season at Selhurst Park, Jordan Ayew has tallied 15 goals and 10 assists in 133 appearances across all competitions.
