Asante Kotoko got back to winning ways with a five-star performance against GoldStars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on match-day 20 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The Porcupines walloped the Bibiani-based outfit 5-0 to better their points total with fourteen matches more to end the league season.
Georges Mfegue began the rout, netting in the 32nd minute after a poor display from goalkeeper Ernest Kusi.
The Cameroonian stepped up four minutes later to give Kotoko a 2-0 from a counter-attacking move, heading into halftime.
After the break, Kotoko continued their dominance and Augustine Agyapong, in the 59th minute registered his name on the score sheet.
The right-back fired from a shortly-taken freekick from Richmond Lamptey and the ball deflected before going past Kusi in the goal.

The Gold Stars demolition contiued; Ibrahim Imoro’s pass to Lamptey, the midfielder then makes an effort and it struck a defender’s arm — a penalty for Kotoko.
Franck Thierry Etouga Mbella then stepped forward and scored in the 79th minute to increase his tally to 14 goals this season.
As the game drew to its end, Samuel Boateng came on to hand Kotoko their fifth goal in the 86th minute.
Gold Stars will have to get back to winning ways when they host Elmina Sharks at home.
Kotoko travel to Eleven Wonders in their next match.
