Bottom-placed Sharks suffer 13th defeat at Dreams

Dreams FC inflicted a 13th defeat on bottom club Elmina Sharks with a 2-0 triumph on match-day 19 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Goals in either half at Dawu Park saw the ‘Still Believe’ side bounce back to winning ways after losing to leaders Asante Kotoko in their last match.

Dreams dominated the opening exchanges but had to wait until the 41st minute to break the deadlock.

Striker Huzaf Ali went on a solo run before rolling the ball into the path of Agyenim Boateng Mensah to calmly finish off the attack from close range.

The insurance goal arrived in the 80th minute through a great header by Issah Ibrahim.

Dreams ended up 2-0 winners – their 7th victory in 19 league matches and moved into 9th position with 26 points in the standings.

Elmina Sharks, on the other hand, are stuck bottom with just 12 points from 3 wins, 3 drawn games and 13 defeats.
