Farouk Adams rejoins GoldStars

Defender Farouk Adams has completed a move back to Ghana Premier League side Bibiani GoldStars on a free transfer.

The centre-back, 32, run down his contract with Aduana FC last month.

Adams signed for the Dormaa-based club from Elmina Sharks in January 2018 – thus enjoying a four-year stint.

Now after a troubled year 2021, he has opted for a change of environment by returning to GoldStars where he previously enjoyed Division One football.

The Ghana Premier League new boys announced Adams’ return Thursday:

GoldStars have the third worst defensive line in the Ghana Premier League after Dreams FC, Accra Lions, Karela United and Real Tamale United.

Farouk’s arrival is expected to help strengthen their backline as they seek to avoid relegation from the top tier.

Bibiani GoldStars have now signed 5 new players – Prince Opoku Agyemang, Steven Owusu, Ebenezer Aboagye, Noah Martey and Farouk Adams – so far in the second transfer window.
