WAFA hold Bechem to barren draw

WAFA SC, despite their poor run of form, managed to get Bechem United to drop points for the first time at the Nana Fosu Gyeabor Park after a 0-0 draw on match-day 14 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The Hunters had won all six previous games this season, scoring 13 and conceding just once.

Bechem were off to a bright start with Augustine Okrah and mates combining to create chances and go for a goal.

Despite their dominance, Bechem could not find the back of the net in the first half.

It was a continuation of the trend after the break with none of the hosts’ effort able to beat WAFA goalkeeper Kwadwo Bonsu.

With the spoils shared at the end, Bechem United take to third place on 23 points while WAFA drop one spot to 17th with 14 from 14 games.

Bechem United’s Kofi Agbesimah won the NASCO man-of-the-match award.
