LadyStrikers breezed past Prions Ladies 4-0 in their Women’s Premier Super Cup semifinal at Madina Zurak Park Thursday afternoon.
The Cape Coasters went all gun blazing from start and raced into a two-goal lead in under a quarter of an hour of the second semifinal clash.
Martha Gifty Amissah, who started this time after coming off the bench to score in the final group game on Monday, put LadyStrikers ahead with a header inside five minutes.
Prisons Ladies’ woes soon compounded as Ruth Anima caught Gladys Amfobea late in the penalty area prompting referee Mansa Hommey to point to the spot.
Midfielder Catherine Arthur stepped up and expertly converted the spot-kick in the 12th minute.
Came the 35th minute and Gifty Addae Boakye made it 3-0 after a brilliant twist-and-turns by Amfobea before laying the pass for the scorer.
LadyStrikers further extend the lead with one more goal in the second half which came through substitute Sandra Narh in the 78th minute.
Catherine Arthur won the Woman-of-the-Match tag.
