Olympics fight back thrice for point against Dreams

Great Olympics fought back from three goals down to draw 3-3 with Dreams FC in a thrilling 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day four clash at Accra Sports Stadium Sunday afternoon.

By the 27th minute, the visiting Believers had raced into a three-goal lead.

Full-back Philemon Baffour scored his first goal of the season after five minutes, heading past goalkeeper Gabriel Nudakpa from close range.

Teen sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku extended the advantage with a classic goal from distance in the 15th minute.

12 minutes later, Fatawu made it 3-0 with another beauty, gliding past two markers before putting the ball beyond the Olympics keeper.

But the Dade Boys will rally to produce a brilliant comeback.

A handball incident saw Olympics awarded a penalty which was converted by in-form forward Maxwell Abbey Quaye in the 34th minute.

The second half saw Olympics up the ante in their chase for a comeback.

In one of their forays, midfielder James Akaminko got brought down in the Dreams FC box.

And Abbey Quaye was on hand to put the ball away for his brace, 3-2 in the 62nd minute.

With a comeback very much in sight, continued to push forward and they got their third and equalizer in the 83rd minute through loan signing Samuel Armah who had come on in the second half.

Dreams FC’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was adjudged NASCO man-of-the-match.
