Karela United Football Club and sponsors Ghana Gas collaborated to clean the streets of Aiyinase Tuesday morning.
Together with selected players, Karela United undertook the clean-up exercise as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The vantage points they cleaned included Aiyinase Health Centre, Central Market and other principal streets of the club’s environs.
The exercise follows their 2021/22 Ghana Premier League opening day draw at home to Aduana FC.
Speaking at the end of the exercise, Mr. Stephen Donkor, the Senior Manager, Community Relations & CSR for Ghana Gas lauded Karela for the initiative and urged the club to make it a constant feature on its seasonal calendar.
“Though the initiative was mooted by Karela United, we realized that it’s a cause we needed to support hence putting together resources to come out here and support the exercise,” he said.
