Caf WCL: Malabo Kings revive campaign with Wadi Degla thumping

Malabo Kings revived their campaign at the ongoing Caf Women’s Champions League (WCL) in Egypt with a resounding 3-0 victory over hosts Wadi Degla at 30 June Stadium Monday afternoon.

The Equatorial Guinea giants lost their first Group A game 3-1 to Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies while Degla won by the same result against AS Mande.

The victory leaves the group open as three of the teams have won by three goals.

Brace heroine Stephanie Drepogba scored her first goal in the 12th minute from the penalty spot to give Malabo Kings the lead.

She then headed in with composure in 40th minute to double the lead for her side.

13 minutes after the break, Grace Mfwamba drilled into the bottom corner to put the game beyond the reach of Wadi Degla.

Wadi Degla will face Wafu B qualifying champions Hasaacas Ladies in their last group game on November 11 while Malabo Kings play AS Mande the same day.
