Bechem United smash Dreams FC in turnaround win

Bechem United recorded a resounding 3-1 victory over Dreams FC at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on match-day five of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Sunday.

Dreams shockingly took the lead in the fifth minute through Ali Huzaif who connected from close range to Ibrahim Issah’s cross.

The visitors pushed to further extend their control on the result before Bechem settled into the game but they failed to double their lead after striker Agyenim Boateng was denied.

The Hunters began to find their rhythm and threatened their guests in attack but they had to wait till first-half additional time to level.

Emmanuel Avornyo’s brilliant effort brought the team back to life and they continued to dominate their visitors in the second half.

In the 54th minute, Avornyo then turned provider for Augustine Okrah as the Hunters went ahead for the first time in the game.

They extended their lead in the 68th minute when Obuoba Yaw Dasi finished a brilliant move. Bechem United controlled the game till full time and the victory is their third of the league season after five games.

The Hunters will play Great Olympics in Accra on match-day six to protect their third place spot or move above King Faisal in second.

Dreams FC, currently sixth on the league table will host Bibiani GoldStars.

Augustine Okrah was adjudged NASCO man-of-the-match.
