2022 WCQ: 15 players open Black Stars camp, beat Golden Kick 5-1 in test match

Ghana opened camp for their final two games in Group G of the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers with a test match Monday afternoon.

The Black Stars are scheduled to battle Ethiopia and South Africa on November 11 and 14 respectively.

With 15 players available in camp, head coach Milovan Rajevac opted to provide his team a training match against lower-tier side Golden Kick SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars won 5-1 with returnee striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom bagging a brace. Jordan Ayew, Caleb Ekuban and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku completed the scoring.

Full-house is expected by the close of day with the team scheduled to fly out of Accra for Johannesburg Tuesday afternoon.

Ethiopia will be hosting Ghana at Orlando Stadium on Thursday. Kickoff is 13:00 GMT.

The Stars will return home to host South Africa at Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

Milovan Rajevac’s side must win both games to finish first in the group and qualify for the playoffs.
