Maiden Women’s Super Cup confirmed for Nov. 25 to Dec. 5

The maiden edition of the Women’s Super Cup tournament has been confirmed to come off from November 25 to December 5, 2021 in Accra.

The newly-introduced GFA off-season competition has been designed to serve as a preparatory ground and additional incentive to clubs and players ahead of the 2021/22 season which will commence in January 2022.

The Super Cup is an 8-team competition, drawing the top four from each of the Northern and Southern Zones of the 2020/21 Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Prisons Ladies, Kumasi Sports Academy and AshTown Ladies will represent the Northern Zone.

The Southern Zone teams include champions Hasaacas Ladies, Berry Ladies, Soccer Intellectuals and Ladystrikers.

The Women’s Super Cup tournament will be held at two venues – the Madina Zurak Park and McDan La Town Park.
