Ghana international Andre Ayew scored for the third successive game as Al Sadd SC continued their unblemished start to the 2021/22 Qatar Stars League on Sunday.
The champions thumped Al-Shamal 7-2 in the match-day 4 home fixture at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The Black Stars captain’s latest goal contribution came through a close-range right-foot finish in the 15th minute.
Ayew enjoyed 63 minutes of action before making way for Mohammed Waad.
Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah also bagged a brace in the game, scoring in the 13th and 89th minutes for the side coached by Spain and Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez.
Al Sadd are joint-top of the Qatar Stars League with Al-Duhail with four wins each in as many games.
