Asante Kotoko have signed Division Two League sensation Samuel Boateng from Future Stars FC,
The young forward and his advisors had virtually sealed an agreement with Ghana Premier League rivals Berekum Chelsea until the emergence of interest from the record league champions.
According to sources, the player and his camp’s desire and determination to join Kotoko instead scuppered any chances of starting Premier League life at the Golden City Park next season.
The Bibires had to give in, following the sudden tango with Kotoko.
Boateng, after successful negotiations, passed a medical before signing a three-year contract that will keep him at the club till 2024.
Kotoko announced his capture Thursday:

Boateng became a hot cake following his 18-goal in 15 matches haul that helped Future Stars gain Division One League status for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
He becomes Kotoko’s fourth signing so far after Richmond Lamptey, Maxwell Kofi Agyemang and Clinton Opoku.
