Versatile teenage defender Augustine Agyapong is the latest young talent to be announced by Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko.
The full-back arrives from Division Two League side Delsamco FC.
Agyapong is 17 and has signed until 2025.
“We are delighted to confirm the signing of 17-year-old versatile defender Augustine Aguapong on a four-year deal from Delsanco FC,” Kotoko announced Monday.
Playing on either side, Agyapong incredibly contributed to 28 goals – scored thrice and made 25 assists – for his side which will be playing in the upcoming Brong Ahafo Division Two League promotional playoffs.

His latest assist came only last Thursday when Delsamco beat new Kotoko teammate Isaac Oppong’s Bectero Sasana FC to the Zone 3 ticket and qualified for the final playoff stage in their chase for Division One promotion.
Augustine Agyapong becomes Kotoko’s third signing after Samuel Boateng and Isaac Oppong from the Ghanaian third-tier.
Two other players – Maxwell Kofi Agyemang and Clinton Opoku were also signed after shining in the second tier just last season
Richmond Lamptey was the first club’s signing from relegated Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies.
Medeama SC duo Richard Boadu and Samuel Appiah are also in line to be officially announced on Monday.
