Ghana have been placed in Group C of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) alongside top-seeded Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
The Black Stars will begin their quest for a first senior continental title since last winning it in 1982 against the Atlas Lions of Morocco at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé on Monday, January 10, 2022.
Coach CK Akonnor’s men will stay in Yaoundé to take on the Panthers of Gabon on Friday, January 14 before making a trip to Garoua for their final game in Group C against debutants Comoros at Roumdé Adjia Stadium on Tuesday, January 18.
If the four-time African champions (in 1963, 1965, 1978, and 1982) come through the group stage, they will be among the Round of 16 which will be played between January 23 and 26.
Quarterfinal games come off on January 29 and 30 with the semifinals also on February 2 and 3.
The third-place playoff match and the grand finale are scheduled for February 6, 2022, at 16:00 GMT and 19:00 GMT respectively.
