#GPLwk34: Olympics win 2-1 to complete season double over Dreams

Great Olympics won 2-1 Saturday afternoon to register home and away victories over Dreams FC in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The final game of the campaign, for either side, travelled 43 minutes before the scoring was opened by the hosts at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Giant striker Abdul Manan Mudasiru grabbed the goal just a minute after a forced substitution which saw him take over from injured starter Maxwell Abbey Quaye.

The first half ended 1-0.

Right-back Philip Sackey then scored to cushion Olympics with a 2-0 lead in the 55th minute.

Dreams responded and within four minutes gave themselves some hope of a comeback as Issah Ibrahim scored to halve the deficit.

But the three goals were all the game could produced.

The 2-1 victory sees Great Olympics finish the 2020/21 season three points above Dreams FC who amassed 49 from 34 games. The Dade Boys also won 1-0 in their first meeting at Dawu.

Manan Mudasiru of Olympics was adjudged NASCO man-of-the-match.
