Benjamin Tetteh permanently signs for Yeni Malatyaspor

Ghana’s Benjamin Tetteh has finally made his stay at Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor a permanent one.

On Wednesday, the 23-year-old striker – who spent the 2020/21 season on loan at the New Malatya Stadium outfit from Sparta Prague completed his witch after both clubs agreed to a €1.2 million transfer fee.

Tetteh signed a four-year contract and will thus be at the club till the end of June 2025.


During his season-long loan last term, Tetteh managed five goals while notching four assists as the side finished 15th in the Turkish Super Lig.

“Tetteh proved himself very much with the football he played last season.

“At an age to be considered young, and now he knows our league. 1 million 200 thousand Euro including the annual cost bonus of Tetteh to our club. Blessings to our great community.

“There are quality players we have met on transfer. We ask our fans for a little more patience. Hopefully, we will build a strong team,” Mehmet Gömülü, the Administrative Manager for Yeni Malayaspor said after announcing the deal.

Benjamin Tetteh previously played for Standard Liege in Belgium and Bohemians in Slovakia after leaving Ghana’s Dreams FC.
