Liberty Professionals surrendered their Ghana Premier League (GPL) status after failing to beat King Faisal at home on the final day of the 2020/21 season.
The match-day 34 fixture ended in a barren stalemate at WAFA Arena in Sogakope Sunday afternoon.
Both sides were at risk of demotion with the Scientific Soccer Lads needing a win while a point on the road was enough to secure survival for the visitors from Kumasi.
After failing to make good use of their chances created in the game, Liberty Professionals end the season with 40 points and in second from bottom of the 18-team Premier League standings.
The Dansoman-based club thus lose topflight status for the first time since making their GPL debut in 1999.
The draw was enough to survive King Faisal who got 41 points to finish 14th.
Liberty will join Ebusua Dwarfs and Inter Allies to compete in the Ghana Division One League next season.
