WAFA SC midfielder Augustine Boakye is on the verge of completing a summer transfer to Austrian Bundesliga outfit Wolfsberger AC.
The 20-year-old with a cultured left foot has been one of the exciting playmakers in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League with 7 goals and 11 assists in 25 appearances for the academy outfit.
Footy-Ghana.com understands that an agreement has been struck between WAFA and the Lavanttal-Arena outfit with the youngster flying out of Accra for Austria over the weekend to complete his part of the deal.
Once Boakye passes a scheduled mandatory medical during the week, he will be signing a four-year contract which will run through to June 2025.
Augustine Boakye last played for WAFA in the 1-1 home draw with Dreams FC on match-day 29 of the GPL. He scored for his side and won the man-of-the-match award – his sixth of the campaign.
