Kamaldeen Sulemana returns to Nordsjaelland training amid strong transfer links

In-demand Ghana youngster, Kamaldeen Sulemana joined FC Nordsjaelland in pre-season training for the first time on Friday following reports he is on the verge of an imminent transfer to a major European club.

Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam are believed to lead the race for the 19-year-old winger with English duo Liverpool and Manchester United as well as Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen also reported to be closely tracking him in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Earlier this week, Flemming Pedersen, the head coach of Nordsjaelland – who appear to be resigned to losing Kamaldeen this summer – revealed that he is closely studying offers on his table and will be doing a few more things, such as visiting some of his suitors before choosing the club to join.

“The last thing I have heard is that Kamaldeen is choosing from the options he has and he has been doing it for a while.

“So, it’s up to him, and I think he is in the process of studying different things, and he would like to visit certain places and so on before he makes the final decision.

“I do not expect him to play here, even though nothing has been decided, but I expect him to accept one of the offers he has in his hands,” Pederson was quoted as telling bold.dk.

Not long after the revelation, reports in the Dutch media claimed that Kamaldeen Sulemana had arrived in Amsterdam to possibly complete his deal.

On Friday, the tricky Black Stars attacker took to his social media with a post revealing he had reported for pre-season with Nordsjaelland.

Sulemana starred for Nordsjaelland in the 2020/21 Danish Superliga, scoring 10 goals and registering eight assists.

He impressed at the tail end of the campaign when the league split into play-offs for relegation and for the league title.

During the nine games he played during the Superliga’s Championship round, Sulemana scored six goals and notched two assists.

Kamaldeen Sulemana arrived at FC Nordsjaelland from their Ghana-based Right to Dream Academy in February 2020. He is contracted to the side until 2024.
