Aduana FC scored in each half to beat relegation-threatened Liberty Professionals 2-0 in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match-day 29 round of games Sunday afternoon.
The opener came via Sam Adams in the 16th minute of the game at the Nana Agyeman Badu (NAB) I Stadium in Dormaa. The winger fed on a pass from striker Bright Adjei to score.
Aduana led 1-0 at the break.
And 12 minutes into the second half, Bright Adjei converted a penalty to make it 2-0 after referee Clement Nkuah adjudged that Liberty captain Samuel Amofa had handled the ball in his own box.
Liberty came close to reducing the deficit in the 79th minute but Aduana goalkeeper Joseph Addo pulled a great save to deny substitute Kingsford Opoku Frimpong from scoring.
Aduana remain unmoved in the standings despite winning 2-0 to hit 43 points. Liberty, on the other hand, drop to sit just above the relegation places with 32 points after 29 matches.
