Olympics halt Liberty run to return to winning ways

Great Olympics impressively dispatched Liberty Professionals 2-0 to return to winning ways on match-day 22 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

A goal in either half from Maxwell Abbey Quaye and Joshua Kwame Rhule at the Accra Sports Stadium ensured the Dade Boys ended their three-game winless run while stopping the visitors from a fourth straight win.

Quaye struck first in the 37th minute – his 7th goal of the campaign.

Coach Annor Walker’s men finally got the second goal to ensure victory 5 minutes from time through substitute Joshua Kwame Rhule.

Great Olympics move back to third position with 37 points while Liberty Professionals, on 24, sit just above the relegation zone after 22 matches.
