Liberty post crucial comeback win over Dreams

Two second-half goals saw Liberty Professionals complete a hard-fought 2-1 turnaround win against Dreams FC in their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match-day 27 clash at Sogakope Saturday afternoon.

Visiting Dreams led 1-0 at halftime thanks to a second-minute strike by Agyenim Boateng Mensah.

But six minutes after recess, diminutive attacker Abraham Wayo restored parity by converting a penalty won by striker Kweku Karikari.

Maxwell Ansah went on to score the match-winning goal for Liberty in the 73rd minute.

The 2-1 victory lifts Liberty from 17th spot to 14th pending results of other relegation rivals on Sunday.

Dreams FC’s Agyenim Boateng Mensah received the NASCO man-of-the-match award.
