Gyan vows Legon Cities will ‘fight to the end’ in survival battle

Asamoah Gyan believes relegation-threatened Legon Cities are good enough to stay in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

A 1-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko on match-day 22 of the 2020/21 season over the weekend got the Royals dragged back into the drop zone.

Now 16th in the league, Cities have all to do in the last 12 games of the campaign.

“Any team that faces us will attest to the fact that we are a tough side.

“Also, we perform well against the big teams, so what we (should) focus on is there are some points we shouldn’t lose. So we will fight till the end in the 12 remaining matches,” Gyan told reporters.

“Our fate is not sealed yet, although we are not in a favourable position, we will fight to the end,” he added.

Beginning their next game – a trip to Ebusua Dwarfs, Legon Cities need every point possible to avoid going down.
