Under-fire first-choice goalkeeper, Razak Abalora has been left out of Asante Kotoko’s 18-man squad for their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match-day 26 home clash with WAFA SC.
Head coach Mariano Barreto, on Friday, released his match-day squad with Kwame Baah coming in to join Felix Annan who is expected to start against his former club.
Abalora’s exclusion is speculated to be due to growing unforced errors by the shot-stopper – the most recent coming in the Porcupines’ 1-1 draw at Liberty last Sunday.
Centre-back Andrews Appau drops out again after a bench role last weekend.
Also, fit-again forward Evans Adomako, who has made just two league appearances this season, has been named in a Kotoko match-day squad for the first time in five months.
The 23-year-old takes up the spot of Ibrahim Osman who started and got substituted after halftime in the draw against Liberty.
Coach Barreto also named attacker Godfred Asiamah in the squad despite not fully recovering from his recent injury issues.
Asante Kotoko – who currently top the table with 45 points – host WAFA SC at Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Saturday, May 22.
