Boadu hails “tactically better” Hearts in Bechem win

Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu says the Phobians were the better side in Wednesday afternoon’s 1-0 win at Bechem United.

Salifu Ibrahim found the net in the 75th minute after driving past three defenders and slotted past the goalkeeper with his right foot.

This is Hearts of Oak’s eleventh victory of the season and they are just a point behind leaders and bitter rivals Asante Kotoko.

“We were tactically better in both halves and managed to impose our game on them,” Boadu said at the post-match interview.

“Ahead of the game, we planned to break the jinx and we succeeded via Salifu’s goal.

“Kudos the lads and now we switch our focus to the next match at home.”

Talk of the next match, it’s against Elmina Sharks who drew 1-1 at home against Karela United on Wednesday afternoon.
