Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah says his plan is to transform Kotoko to be the economic wheel of the Asante Kingdom.
The Ghanaian giants are revered in the history of the Asantes as a pivotal embodiment after the Golden Stool.
Kotoko have championed the success of Ghana football across Africa, winning two Caf competitions and is well-known across the globe.
Amponsah believes the club must be the economic fulcrum of the land, adding that it is his utmost priority.
” I want Kotoko to be the economic wheel for Asanteman just like Real Madrid is to Madrid.
“In the coming years this will complement the standout effort of the King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,” Amponsah told Opemsuo Radio.
Currently, the Porcupines have secured over 8 sponsorship deals and are partnering with English side Southampton in building their grassroot football.
Also, the Amponsah-led management is completing a training complex that will house all their teams.
